How much does a Sydney wedding DJ cost?
Our DJ packages start at $750 + GST for a two-hour reception. Pricing can increase based on factors such as the length of the reception, and whether you also want your DJ to play during your cocktail hour, after-party or the wedding ceremony itself. Contact us and we'll put together a custom quote for you that covers just what you need and leaves out what you don't.
How far in advance should we book our wedding DJ?
Popular Sydney wedding DJs get booked quickly, particularly for dates in peak season. We'd recommend locking in your DJ as soon as your venue and date are confirmed, rather than leaving it until closer to the wedding. Before booking, it's worth reading reviews from previous clients so you know what to expect from your DJ on the night.
How do you make sure the sound stays reliable throughout the night?
Backup equipment is essential to us, and every DJ carries spares for critical gear so a single fault doesn't interrupt your reception. Your DJ will also familiarise themselves with the acoustics of your venue ahead of time. A marquee, a stone ballroom and an open-air garden all behave differently, and your sound setup is adjusted accordingly.
What locations can your Sydney wedding DJs play in?
Provided we have permission from the venue and the required power supply and audio input connection, our DJs can play almost anywhere. Do your DJs carry Public Liability Insurance?
Yes, we organise Public Liability Insurance for all DJ performances. This is standard for the industry, as most Sydney wedding venues require DJs to hold Public Liability Insurance before they'll allow equipment on site.
Can you provide live acoustic music for our ceremony?
Yes. Some of our DJs also offer live acoustic music for ceremonies, giving you a warmer, more intimate sound as you walk down the aisle. Wireless microphones are included as standard, so your celebrant and any readers can be heard clearly without extra hire costs.
Can our wedding guests request songs from the DJ?
Yes, but only if you've given your guests permission to request songs. You can also allow requests but not of songs on your custom Do Not Play list, and/or only allow requests to be made by members of your wedding party. Your specific rules around song requests should all be agreed on with your DJ in the lead up to your wedding, so there are no awkward moments on the big day.
Can we hire a Sydney DJ for our elopement?
You certainly can! Some of our favourite Sydney wedding receptions of recent years have been for intimate elopements where the guest list was 15-20 people or less. A smaller crowd doesn't mean a smaller sound, and your DJ will scale the setup to suit the venue rather than turning it into a full-scale production. Pricing for elopements is usually more flexible too, since the reception is shorter and the equipment needs are lighter.
Can you help us with things like finding celebrants, booking photographers, or getting wedding suits and dresses made?
